Hi, I’m Emily.
Here’s my story.
Originally from southern Florida, raised in a family centered on ministry and homeschooling, now rooted in Charlotte. What I do for a living is real estate. What I do for life is everything else on this site.
Four chapters that shaped this work
CHAPTER 1
Florida roots, service first.
I was raised in a family centered on ministry and homeschooling, and my work ethic was forged early — in church nurseries, summer camps, swim instruction, and a long stretch volunteering with The Special Olympics.
Helping people isn't a marketing line. It's the thread.
CHAPTER 2
Business, marketing, & the move
After school I moved into business management, marketing, and sales — the foundation for the career I have today. The Carolinas became home, and Charlotte stuck.
That mix of strategy and people-skills is exactly what you want in a Realtor — and exactly what I bring to the table.
CHAPTER 3
Emmy Eff Design (2012—)
I founded Emmy Eff Designs in 2012 — my art and jewelry studio. I've explored nearly every medium, and creating remains one of my greatest joys. The shop, the portfolio, and workshops all live on the Creativity page.
Real estate is what I do. Making things is who I am.
CHAPTER 4
Resilience: 2019 onward.
In 2019 I faced a rare cancer diagnosis. Through determination, treatment, and a community I'll never be able to thank enough, I came out the other side.
It changed how I think about home, time, and showing up. It's also why "encouraging" and "hopeful" aren't just words on a page — they're a practice.

Even in life's darkest moments, perseverance can lead to triumph. That's what I want every client, every reader, and every neighbor to take from this site.
